Guns & Gear offers firearm transfer services for customers who purchase firearms online or through another dealer and need them shipped to a licensed FFL for pickup. If you are buying a firearm from an online retailer, auction site, manufacturer, or private seller through a dealer, you can have it shipped to Guns & Gear for transfer.
Our standard firearm transfer fee is $20 per firearm.

How FFL Transfers Work
If you purchase a firearm online, the seller will need a copy of our Federal Firearms License before they can ship the firearm to us. Once the firearm arrives at Guns & Gear, we will process it and contact you when it is ready for pickup.
The basic process is:
- Purchase your firearm online
Choose Guns & Gear as your receiving FFL, or provide the seller with our contact information. - Have the seller contact us for our FFL
The selling dealer may request a copy of our FFL before shipping the firearm. - The firearm ships to Guns & Gear
Once the firearm arrives, we will check it in and prepare it for transfer. - We contact you for pickup
Please wait until we contact you before coming in. Deliveries must be processed before they are ready to transfer. - Complete the required paperwork in store
You will need to complete the required background check and transfer paperwork before taking possession of the firearm.
Transfer Fee
Our standard transfer fee is:
$20 per firearm
Transfer fees are due at the time of pickup.
If your shipment contains multiple firearms, transfer fees may apply per firearm. Please contact us ahead of time if you have questions about a multi-firearm transfer.
What to Bring for Pickup
When picking up a transferred firearm, please bring:
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- Your current address information
- Any order confirmation or tracking information, if available
- Any required permit or documentation, if applicable
The name on the firearm order should match the person completing the transfer. If you are unsure how the seller listed the order, please contact us before the firearm ships.
Important Transfer Information
Please wait for Guns & Gear to contact you before coming in to pick up a transfer. A shipping notification from the carrier does not always mean the firearm is ready for pickup. We must receive, verify, and process the firearm before the transfer can be completed.
All firearm transfers must be completed in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Background check requirements and transfer eligibility are determined through the required process at the time of transfer.
Guns & Gear cannot transfer a firearm to anyone who is prohibited from possessing firearms or who does not meet the legal requirements for the transfer.
